Phemba Mfundi guest author
On April 30, 2011 the Nelson Mandela Institute hosted the first Phemba Mfundi Camp for this year, as well as the inauguration of the 2011 Phemba Mfundi journal. It is customary for the Institute to invite a well known and established writer to come and congratulate the learners, as well as motivate them into writing even beyond the Phemba Mfundi workshops.
This year Miss Xolisa Guzula from the University of Cape Town (Project for the Study of Alternative Education in South Africa) was the guest speaker at this spectacular function. She is a well known writer who has written five books in South African languages, as well as African languages. We did an extensive interview with her.
