I have always believed in the power of a good education. In 2007 we founded the Nelson Mandela Institute for Education and Rural Development to take forward our work in the areas of education and development. The challenge of education cannot be separated from the other challenges our people confront in their daily lives. Our work for a quality education for every child must go hand-in-hand with access to clean water, nutrition and sustainable livelihoods.
